Together they are the co-authors of The Creativity Cure : A Do- It-Yourself Prescription for Happiness, an innovative, highly achievable five-part plan to unleash happiness and alleviate depression and anxiety by tapping into creative potential. They draw upon the latest psychological research, a combined 40 years of medical practice, and personal experience to demonstrate how creative action is integral to long-term happiness and well-being. The Five-Part Prescription for the Creativity Cure—Insight, Movement, Mind Rest, Your Own Two Hands, and Mind Shift—leads the way to a more meaningful, fulfilling life by simultaneously developing self-understanding and self-expression. With the Barrons’ detailed tools and strategies for cultivating creative outlets, overcoming unconscious fears and barriers to happiness, and linking internal thought to external action, audiences build the mind-set and habits necessary for happiness and positive change. They will experience—and learn how to sustain—the deep satisfaction that accompanies creating something by hand..

The Creativity Cure has a simple yet profoundly inspirational message: that you can find the authentic, contented life you crave by taking happiness into your own two hands. In their lectures they demonstrate how anyone can feel better, more alive, more fulfilled and happier if you uncover your creativity. They believe that everyone, to a greater or lesser degree has creative capacity. If you follow the guidelines of the Creativity Cure method, which involves knowing, honoring and using your deeper self, your unconscious mind, and you practice their 5PP which includes mind rest, body movement, using your own two hands, and learning to alter your perspective, you will find yourself in a better place. You will feel more grounded, effective and free. Small changes in habits can make a big difference in the psyche. Most of all, they ask you to look right where you are, in your home, in your workplace, in yourself and use what you have to make fantastic things.
The Barrons are available to appear together or individually.
