When Richard Paul Evans wrote the #1 best-seller, The Christmas Box, he never intended on becoming an internationally known author. His quiet story of parental love and the true meaning of Christmas made history when it became simultaneously the #1 hardcover and paperback book in the nation. Since then, more than eight million copies of The Christmas Box have been printed. He has since written twelve consecutive New York Times bestsellers and is one the few authors in history to have hit both the fiction and non-fiction bestseller lists. He has won several awards for his books including the 1998 American Mothers Book Award, two first place Storytelling World Awards, and the 2005 Romantic Times Best Women Novel of the Year Award. His books have been translated into more than 22 languages and several have been international best sellers.

Four of Evans’ books have been produced into major television productions starring such acclaimed actors as Maureen O’Hara, James Earl Jones, Richard Thomas, Ellen Burstyn, Naomi Watts, Vanessa Redgrave, Christopher Lloyd, and Rob Lowe.

Evans began his career as a marketing and political consultant. At the age of 29, Evans received the Ernst & Young Lifetime achievement award for Entrepreneurialism. In 2006 Evans wrote his first non-fiction/self-help book: The Five Lessons a Millionaire Taught Me about Life and Wealth. The book received rave reviews and was endorsed by major individuals including Dr. Stephen R. Covey (The 7 Habits of Highly Successful People) Dr. John Nelsen (President of the American Medical Association) and Robert Gay (Managing Director of Bain Capital) The Five Lessons became an International #1 Bestseller. In 2006 Evans co-founded–along with bestselling author Robert G. Allen (Nothing Down, the One Minute Millionaire), Thomas Painter (President of the Enlightened Wealth Institute) and Christopher Pair (Former President, CEO of Herbalife) a direct sales company called BookWise–a success mentoring company. Evans continues to address and inspire audiences around the world for such major companies as: Bain Capital, Xango, Million Dollar Roundtable, HBW, Zions Bank, KeyBank and other major business and financial institutions.

During the Spring of 1997, Evans' founded The Christmas Box House International, an organization devoted to building shelters and providing services for abused and neglected children. Such shelters are operational in Moab, Vernal, Ogden and Salt Lake City, Utah. To date more than 13,000 children have been housed in Christmas Box House facilities. In addition, his book, The Sunflower, was the motivating factor in the creation of The Sunflower Orphanage in Peru. Evans was awarded the Volunteers of America National Empathy Award and the Washington Times Humanitarian of the Century Award.

As an acclaimed speaker, Evans has shared the podium (and continues to receive top response) with such notable personalities as President George W.
