She has written eight children’s books including The Legend of Buddy Bush that won her a Coretta Scott King Honor Award. Her novel, The Baptism, earned her an invitation from the Library of Congress to read for President George W. Bush during the 2007 National Book Festival.

In addition to children’s books Moses wrote Dick Gregory’s memoirs Callus on My Soul, several plays as well as four self-published books. She is currently working on her next novel Soon as The Weather Breaks.
